On November 23rd, 2021, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit issued revised letters for businesses, organizations, and indoor recreational facilities regarding vaccination requirements for ages 12 and older. See full Letter of Instruction here.


As Barrie North Winter Tennis (BNWT) falls under the indoor recreational facility umbrella, members and lesson participants aged 12 and older will be required to show proof of Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccinations in order to participate in lesson programs.


Important Dates:


  • December 7th, 2021 - Final day to receive first dose in order to continue programs, lessons, bookings, and services at BNWT

  • December 8th, 2021 - Proof of single dose and identification now required for ages 12+

  • February 16th, 2022 - Final day to receive second dose in order to continue programs, lessons, bookings, and services at BNWT

  • February 17th, 2022 - Proof of two doses and identification required for ages 12+

Important Notes:


  • Individuals aged 12 and older who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a valid doctor’s note. Religious exemptions will not be accepted.

  • Unvaccinated people under the age of 12 will be permitted to enter the Club without proof of vaccination.

  • A negative COVID-19 test or recent COVID-19 infection will not entitle a person to enter the club.

  • More information on how to show proof of vaccination and identification can be found here.

  • Beginning January 1, 2022, children will have a 12-week grace period from their twelfth birthday to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations. During this period, individuals will be required to show identification at the point of entry, but do not need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
